Bombay

Bombay is pretty much yet another dusty and overpopulated city. New Delhi, Bombay, Agra, Jaipur. No one can tell one dusty city from the other. I was preening my eyes to spot some Bollywood stars but all I saw were people sleeping under bridges and highways. There was this homeless guy who were sleeping on his side on a narrow concrete ledge which was just next to the road. Every car that zoomed by missed him by a few milimeters. If he were to turn on his back, he would have fallen to the road (and his certain death) since the ledge was practically the width of a sparrow hop.

Speaking of Bollywood, Bombay produced 800 movies a year. 800. Apparently, 90% are supreme flops.

I had curries for lunch and dinner. With more to come. I hate Indian curries. Oh, and I realise that for a country with such a long coastline, the Indians don't really like fishes. Fishing and shipbuilding industries are nascent at best. Come to think of it, the Indians never have the reputation to be a seafaring nation. No famous Indian sailors or even pirates. At least Singapore was featured in the Pirates of Caribbean. Which come to think of it, was one of the worst advertisements for the country ever. Chow Yun Fatt deserved better than to be the pirate lord of Singapore.
